For the Homies is a grassroots, community run non-profit that supports our neighbours in the Downtown Eastside to access timely and safe vet care as well as an emergency foster program that aims to reunite folks with their pets when circumstances are more stable. Our foster program supports folks who are needing to access healthcare but face barriers due to having a pet, folks who are incarcerated, and folks who are houseless and do not have the resources to provide safety and wellbeing for their animals. We are accessible by phone, email and social media, and take referrals from community partners or self-referrals
